My Journey 6/29/2010

God's insight to me:

Before I started reading today's devotionals the Lord blessed me with this poem. Then I came to the devotional by Katherine Kehler, "Jesus Changed My Life". I just knew that this had to be the only devotional to share for today in my journey with Jesus. It took a while for me to understand, "Christ is in the life changing business!" For my life changed slowly, for I now know God knew I wasn't ready for the dramatic change. It is a work in process. He gives me just enough to get me to my next step. What I have seen gradually in the past 13 plus years is what people, some I know, some I met for the first time see in me, Christ! If Christ hasn't changed you yet mu prayer is:

Show Them, Touch Them, Reach Them Lord

Show them Lord of Your awesome power.
Touch them Lord with Your mercy and grace.
Reach them Lord so they all will know,
it’s not about this time or of this place.

Show them Lord that Your Word is truth.
Touch them Lord so they will never stray.
Reach them Lord each click of the clock,
for it’s not about them but You each day.

Show them Lord each stripe on Your back.
Touch them Lord so they will finally understand.
Reach them Lord as only You can do,
for You truly are the Great I AM!

Show them, Touch them, Reach them Lord
so in their lives You become so true.
Use me Lord to show, touch and reach them,
so they all can love You, like I do!

Jesus Changed My Life

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17

If you ever wonder if Jesus actually changes people into new creations, please read this powerful email.

“I was sexually abused as a child. I am 25 now but by the time I was 14 I was hooked on drugs. On heroin and crack cocaine from 17 years old. I ended up working the streets as a prostitute and then in prison. In prison I was suicidal--I wanted to end it all. I cried out to God and WOW...he came to me that night and Jesus has transformed me, he has healed the hurts within. I thank Jesus and I praise him for saving me and all the others who have experienced what we experienced. "

I now run a therapeutic animal project where I train young people to work with animals and learn to trust and love again. The Lord reaches these broken young people through the animals. That’s how he reached me when I came to the organization as a broken wreck of a girl. Praise the Lord.”

Have you been praying for someone for who is hooked on drugs or alcohol? Please don’t stop. Keep asking God to reach them through ways that will touch them. As you can see in this story, it can even be through animals.

We don’t know how and when He will do it—but thank Him for knowing the perfect time and place to reach your loved ones with His life-changing love.

Jesus, thank you changing my life because when we are in You, we become new creations. Today, I pray for the millions of people who have not had this life-changing experience with You. Draw them to Yourself, Oh Lord! Amen.
